Chaos

Only recently we used to talk about a VUCA world, referring to the Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity in the world. Events of recent weeks have seen that aspect amplified by a deliberate chaos where global leaders fan the flames with wild and reckless threats.

We have a choice how we react to any situation and there is no right or wrong response only a choice. What is your choice?

There is an old English proverb which reads “a smooth sea never made a skilled mariner.”.

I am finding that holding that phrase in mind helps me to reframe the global situation into a challenge to display my mastery of my craft and helps me to step up to still provide my clients exceptional value in what can otherwise feel like a global tsunami.

I have two framed pieces on my office wall. One is The Serenity Prayer, the other is “If” by Rudyard Kipling. They are on the wall so they are permanently on hand and accessible to help me make better choices.

Like many entrepreneurs I am both passionate and a man of action. It is good to be able to access ancient wisdom.

So the questions for this week are;
