Imagination

As a kid I remember my Dad telling me that imagination was more important than knowledge, a quote often attributed to Einstein. I thought I understood until this weekend when I read these words ‘if there is one unique characteristic that sets the human animal apart from other species, it’s that a human can envision a different world and then work to create it.’

What a gift it is to receive a new insight from a fresh perspective and how it brings into sharp focus a concept that has been rolling around my brain for a while; the hugely powerful concept of intentionality. Rather than just sleepwalk through each day, as most of us do, I am now setting specific intentions every day about how I want to show up, in the certain knowledge that if I do that insistently, consistently and persistently enough I will become the person I want to be.
