Success

If you own a business, you are successful. Only a small percentage of people ever do that.

If your business is growing you are successful. Not every business can do that.

If that growth has spanned 2, 3, or 4 years you are now in an elite segment of an already elite subsection of the population.

You will have sunk a lot of blood, sweat, tears and toil to get to wherever you are. If that is you, you will know what I mean. It seems a shame then to settle.

Many people do and I understand that. Often the toil of the climb serves to quell the appetite for more and that choice is OK, but before you do, just take a moment. I don’t believe any of us were created to be mediocre. There is always another level. Others can settle, but you? You are different. You have always been different. You got here by not settling. Why start now?

Jeff Bezos said “Thinking small becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy”. Small, remember, is a relative term. What is the next level for you?

How do you keep the ambition alive and the flame still burning? Remembering that this is a marathon, not a sprint.
