Play to Win

If you arent playing to win, why exactly are you playing?

These days, for some people, the concept of playing to win can seem too aggressive, too combative and therefore have negative connotations, but if we arent playing to win, why are we playing?

If we are simply playing to play, the unintended consequence of adopting that attitude may well be that we fail to make the tough decisions, we fail to do the disciplined thing, we settle for the easy choice and as a result sink to mediocrity. I don’t believe any of us were created to be mediocre.

To play to win means that we have to choose. We have to choose what winning means for us, what game we are playing and how we are going to win, or settle for mediocrity.

So the questions for this week are;

• How clear am I on my attitude to life, what Jim Rohn calls my philosophy?
• Have I defined what winning means to me?
• Have I clearly defined how I am going to win?
• How robust is my discipline to do what needs to be done?
• What help do I need on this journey?
